In this 5th article of the series, the spotlight is on 5 more Asian currencies.

1. Chinese Yuan (CNY): the official currency of the People’s Republic of China
Denominations:
1, 2 & 5 jiao, 1 (coins), 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, & 100 yuan.

China is the second most populous country in the world, after India. It used to be the most populous, but the poplulation started to decline in 2022. The capital is Beijing and the largest city is Shanghai.
Standard Chinese is the official language, and one of the most spoken languages in the world. China is famous for its distinct cuisine and ancient architecture. The country is home to the Great Wall of China, the longest man-made structure in the world, and also a UNESCO World Heritage site.

2. Indian Rupees (INR): the official currency of the Republic of India
