According to the United Nations, an estimated 4.7bn people live in the largest continent in the world. The continent is home to some of the major players in the global economy and the top producers of oil and other natural resources in the world.

There are 50+ currencies in Asia across its 49 countries and other administrative regions or territories. In this 4th article of the series, the spotlight is on 5 Asian currencies.

Jordan is an Arab country on the bank of the Jordan River considered to be part of the Holy Land. It shares borders with Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Israel. The capital and the largest city in Jordan is Amman, one of the oldest cities in the world. The official language is Arabic and the currency is one of the strongest and most valuable on the continent.
