End of Year Review 2023

The most important thing I want to say to you is that I am immensely proud of the woman you became this year. It was a good year and that feels refreshing to say because I can count on one finger, how many times I have been able to genuinely say that at the end of any year.

Iforiti. Determination. Perseverance. Doggedness.
That seemed to be the unofficial watchword for this year. You just kept going. This is even more interesting as you did not set any elaborate goals for the year. Graduate. Travel. Find a job. You just didn’t want any pressure.

The year was quiet and peaceful, feeling a lot like living by yourself in a house by the water, writing to your heart’s content, and working on your goals. Except that was not the case. There was little writing, you had to go out almost every day and you lived in a house full of people.

In February, when a blood test showed that your blood sugar levels were slightly higher than normal, you immediately went to work, as though you were expecting the news…
